Aystyn had a friend over after church last Sunday. His name is Jedidiah. He comes from a family of motocross enthusiasts.
Austyn and Jedidiah were outside playing and taking turns on the bike. Then I see them walking around searching. They were looking for construction supplies for a bicycle ramp. Jedidiah’s experience supplied the fuel for Austyn’s enthusiastic inner-self. The ramp was built and they proceeded to jumping and crashing in their own bmx race. Each taking turns being the flag man and the racer. Austyn said “dad this is fun, i want to leave the ramp up even when Jedidiah leaves!” The ramp still stands. Austyn went out a couple nights last week and ramped into boyhood fantasies.
life is good.
i hope yours is too.
